ADOPTING A FRIEND

Shaggy Dog Rescue wants to find the perfect home for all the dogs in our care. Therefore, we are very strict in our adoption policies.

STEPS IN THE ADOPTION PROCESS

  1. Fill out and return our adoption application
  2. After receiving your application, we would like to discuss with your veterinarian, if you have any animals in care at their instituition.
  3. We will contact you to discuss the Adoptee, to see if we can make the perfect match.
  4. After discussion, we will arrange a home visit for you to meet your prospective new family member & friend.
  5. Upon agreement by all parties, sign adoption contract and give adoption donation for your Adoptee.
  6. We do ask that for 3 months after adopting you email us photographs & progress reports of your new pet.
